If there’s one throughline for 2025, it’s this: everything we delivered started with client conversations.
Executive road trips, advisory boards, onsite visits, Spotlight Backstage podcasts, and the unfiltered feedback we get from the people using our technology every day – that’s what shaped this year. We didn’t build in a vacuum. We built alongside lenders, servicers, partners, and teams who pushed us, challenged us, and told us exactly where the industry needed to move next.
This isn’t a list of features.
It’s a look at the five themes that rose to the top because you asked for them, and because we listened.
1. Opening the Ecosystem with the Developer Platform
One of the loudest messages we heard this year was simple: give us more control.
More flexibility. More transparency. More ways to innovate without waiting on a vendor roadmap.
The Dark Matter Developer Platform is our answer to that. It puts APIs, documentation, code samples, and self-service tools directly in the hands of your teams and partners. Instead of closed doors, it creates a space where you can build, connect, extend, and experiment. To me, this is the clearest signal of where our ecosystem is headed: open, modular, builder-friendly mortgage technology that helps us all accelerate innovation. 2. A Reimagined Experience for Borrowers and Loan Officers
This year, we rebuilt both sides of the experience, consumer and LO, from the ground up.
Borrowers now have a true self-service environment: apply, upload, eSign, pay, receive automated pre-approvals…it’s all there from the point of interest to closing, and it’s all intuitive.
Loan officers told us they needed speed, mobility, and tools that helped them convert. So we delivered pricing scenarios, side-by-side comparisons, lead management, and a streamlined mobile workflow that cuts out friction. This wasn’t a facelift. It was a re-architecture; one designed around real user behavior and real lender feedback. Interested in learning more? Check out our Point of Sale Solutions.
3. Automation Everywhere (Not Just in the Buzzword Sense)
Automation takes on a different meaning when you see it removing real touches from real pipelines.
This year, we expanded lights-out processing, strengthened process orchestration, refined Empower task flows, enhanced the user experience in Empower and gave Aiva deeper responsibilities in document classification, data extraction, and income and asset automation.
At every AI event this year, there was a lot of talk about broad, impressive models that can do incredible things. But in mortgage operations, consistency is everything. You don’t want a general-purpose model, you want a model trained specifically for your use case, or multiple models trained to handle the variations within it. That’s what reduces false positives, false negatives, and the operational headaches that make some AI tools hard to trust at scale.
What we’re building is different: automation that’s powerful, reliable, and purpose-built to remove touches without introducing friction. Revolutionary, but thoughtful. 4. Lowering the Cost of Ownership
Every lender I met said the same thing: margins are tight, the pressure is real, and efficiency isn’t optional.
So, we attacked total cost of ownership head-on. We are focused on simplified release cycles. Reduced implementation timelines. A library of ready-to-use configurations. More predictability. More plug and play. In a year defined by economic pressure, this is one of the changes I’m most proud of because it directly impacts your ability to grow sustainably.
5. Elevate: A Servicing Platform Built for the Next Decade
The introduction of Elevate was a milestone moment for us.
A cloud-hosted servicing platform capable of supporting mortgage, home equity, auto, consumer, and commercial, all with automation, transparency, and a modern borrower experience baked into the design.
Servicers finally have a system that lets them run lean without sacrificing customer experience. It’s been exciting to see the early adopters realize just how different servicing can be when you remove the legacy constraints. Want to elevate your servicing game? Looking Ahead
If 2025 was the year we laid the foundation, 2026 is the year we build velocity on top of it.
More configurability in Empower.
Deeper intelligence and automation with Aiva.
Expanded integrations and partner connectivity.
More self-service capabilities for borrowers and LOs.
Continued innovation inside Elevate.
Faster closings. Higher quality. New margin opportunities.
The momentum is real, and we’re just getting started.
Thank You…From Me
Every one of these breakthroughs started with a conversation, with clients who trusted us enough to challenge us, question us, and innovate with us.
I’m grateful for that collaboration, and I can’t wait to show you what’s coming next.
