It’s summer. That means road trips and adventures! I’m very excited about the trip I’m embarking on this week! I have the pleasure to join some great travel companions on a trip to the HousingWire AI Summit, at the George W Bush Presidential Center in Dallas, TX. I’ll be joining Chris Sullivan, Sales Executive in our Direct Sales organization, supporting our efforts to educate lenders on the capabilities of Aiva, our own Artificial Intelligent Virtual Assistant, and Brian Swanson, the innovative mind behind Aiva and our Director of Artificial Intelligence. I couldn’t be happier to be attending this great event with the two of them.
Why the HousingWire AI Summit? First and foremost, it’s extremely informative to look at the possibilities AI has to offer when we look at it distinctly through the lens of housing. Absolutely every session is within this context. This is not just a discussion of AI in the abstract, this is a discussion of AI specific to our world, our industry and our future.
Dark Matter Technologies, as an organization, is firmly rooted in innovation 100%, with the goal of making it easier for lenders to cost-effectively help their customers with their dreams of homeownership, whether that’s buying a first home, moving up to a dream home, enhancing their lifestyle by tapping home equity or making their financial life easier by refinancing. All of these are part of that dream. Looking at AI within that specific lens is a concept that resonates with me deeply. There are a lot of capabilities out there which are very impressive and can do some amazing things, but when your operations depend deeply on consistent performance in a specific use case, you want that model to be trained specifically on that use case. Or better yet, you want multiple models trained to perform consistently across the various flavors of that use case. This reduces the incidence of false negatives and false positives which make some impressive AI capabilities difficult to operationalize.
We are certainly looking forward to the great agenda on tap for Tuesday, July 23rd. The opportunity to meet and talk with so many leaders sharing a vision of automation and efficiency facilitated by AI is just an invitation we could not pass up.
Brian, Chris and I are excited to be attending and we’re looking forward to talking to those of you who were lucky enough to get a seat. If you couldn’t register before the event filled, reach out to us anyway. You can message me on LinkedIn or shoot me an email at craig.rebmann@dmatter.com. We would love the opportunity to chat, share experiences, ask questions and learn from one another, even if its not in Dallas. If you’ll be there, all the better. We love sitting down face-to-face to compare notes on visions of the future.
There are a lot of great things to see on a summer roadtrip, but none half as exciting as what the HousingWire AI Summit has in store. Then again, my kids always tell me I need to refine my definition of fun.
